Our History
The inspiration for Aurunico was born during a visit of its founder, Piotr Pietruszewski-Gil, to the British Museum.
While exploring an exhibition devoted to the Hittites, he realized how many important decisions, moments, and events remain unwritten. In this way, entire civilizations fade into oblivion.
From this reflection, the idea of Aurunico emerged — a space dedicated to creating and preserving records that tell our stories. In an age shaped by the superficiality of social media and content generated by artificial intelligence, this offers a deeper and more enduring value.
Our purpose became clear: to create a place where stories can be told with their full complexity and context.
Thus, Aurunico came into being. Its name is derived from the Latin word “aurum” — gold — and “unique”, something rare and singular.
This is the essence of Aurunico: to uncover what is most important, often hidden beneath the surface.
